I scream

 Cyrus is a real treat to eat with! He makes every meal and snack into an adventure! Ice cream with the Aunts was about more than any adult onlooker could tolerate! This cutie decided to eat the "pancake" first and ended up losing the top end of his ice cream in a magnificent crash! We convinced him to leave it on the ground...but hardly. Here he is polishing off the reject of Abel's cone and the chocolate bits from Aunt Amy's empty chocolate covered pretzel bin. 

Note the ice cream on the end of his eyelashes! Pure talent this kid was born with.

Picnic table!

 We tried out our new picnic table with a snack of oyster crackers.

First Birthday!

One of Josh's favorite things to celebrate is a great first Birthday.  Our little girl was the perfect actress and her Dad was not a bit disappointed in her smash cake event.

It was really fun to watch her look at him with her eyes saying, "I know this was your idea Dad!"

 Kathryn and Cyrus joined Amy and I on a quick trip to the Lake this week.

Creative

 Meal time is a huge deal right now. Between prepping, feeding, cleaning and trying to eat...sometimes it's hard to experience the fun. But Cyrus never dissapoints. I took a picture of him at dinner this week as he was decorating his sippy cup with noodles. "Christmas lights." He kept chanting to himself.

Happy.

 I'm very thankful for the ease of digital photography...or else I might only capture film photos like the one below. 

Pumpkin Pickers

 Libby and I have fond memories of picking pumpkins when we were little. It's something I think we might have in common with my kids too!
