its has sides (three of them) made out of whatever this is

and its own little facility

Thanks ACE

Sometimes sales come at just the right time.

ACE is running a paint sample sale all this month. You can buy little color sample cans for 99 cents. Usually they are 4 dollars a piece. The first day I went I got six.

The next day I saw the sign said, "limit of four different colors." So I bought four. My stash has continued growing!

Kitchen wall...

Nice color but too purple for what I wanted.
When I walked in on Monday morning, the guy at the paint station informed me that their dark base was out so he couldn't make any of those colors! So I went back several days later and got my next set.

So far we have chosen:
Mountain Vista (blue) for the kitchen
Favorite Memories (blue) for the master bedroom
Cottage by the Sea (blue) for the hallway
Make Believe (blue) for the front room
and
Apricot Macaroon (peach) for the bathroom.

There may be a reason they call me BlueberryBetsy!

Poor Electrician

I don't know much about wiring, but I was pretty sure this was not good. When Josh took off the back  wall of the bathroom, behind the light fixture this mess appeared. I guess that in order to wire up the lights, they just chopped out some drywall and ran the wires over the stud. It works.

Thanks to Josh's Dad (a master electrician) this kind of shady work is being replaced in our new
house!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Several years ago I learned about the story of a man we call St. Patrick. He was stolen from his home, taken across the ocean and forced to be a shepherd slave by the barbaric Irish. After a few dreadful years, he had a vision of a boat. He ran away, found the boat of his vision and escaped to his homeland. There he studied in the Catholic church for years and years. Once he became a bishop he wanted to go back to Ireland and witness to the heathens who were steeped in superstition. Despite the lack of a sending church, he went, and made a HUGE impact.

I'm so inspired by his story, that I enjoy wearing my stripped St. Patrick's Day socks all year, just to remind myself to be determined to see the gospel proclaimed in all nations.

Here is a link to more than just my story

Kitchen Drywall

Several weeks ago Dad and my brothers came over for a drywall party. We made huge progress in the kitchen. I'll show you more pictures soon. I think we are almost ready to hang cupboards this week.

Just one

While Josh was tearing out the old cupboards, I requested that he save one.
It is a huge wooden pantry cupboard. It has shelves just the right size for canned goods.

So he gently pulled it off the wall, re-built it a little, and then I painted it. I hope to put it into
use in a back room, and put something more attractive in my kitchen.
